The Light of the World

Saying goodbye to our elf tonight and hello to a day that changed our lives forever.

.

Christ our Savior is born!

For so many years I let Him be the shadow of this day. Or should I say the complex organization of “church” and society and retail and country made this day blurry for me. Phrases like “Let Heaven and Nature Sing” were just phrases. I had no idea what a celebration and what a gift these phrases were.

Fast forward to today and I can’t sing any Christmas song without getting teary eyed. To know that a meek, sweet baby boy brought Heaven and all its might and glory down to this world … to know that He started this journey among the poor and oppressed…to know that He defeated death and sin with the power of love alone … to know He had to option to do it in any form or fashion and He chose this way…He will always take my breath away.

I’m not sure what these lyrics and phrases mean to you, but I’m praying they haven’t been made cloudy. Praying that Jesus alone is your North Star. Praying the love, the joy, the peace, the patience, the kindness, the goodness, the faithfulness and the gentleness of our King Jesus floods you and whatever you’re experiencing today. His love is greater than it all. He’s defeated it all. He’s the light of the world. Hallelujah-What a Savior❤️✨

Hi, thanks for stopping by!

I'll admit it- I'm a snob when it comes to certain things... coffee, the way clothes fit on my 30-something fluff, lashes and anything beauty that makes my life easier.

I want life to be boujee (but on a budget) peppered with simplification to my daily routine. If I find something I love, you'll see it here!

Want me to be your guiena pig and try something? Let me know!

Let the posts
come to you.
